Bringing more sustainable & affordable housing to Abel Tasman, Nelson

Join us to establish a lifestyle community at the foot of the Abel Tasman National Park

About Us

We’re in the process of applying for Resource Consent to build 80 relocatable homes in Abel Tasman.

Our vision is to create eco-friendly, self-sufficient and future-proofed, affordable living environments, embracing intergenerational cohousing and work/life balance.

We have already obtained Resource Consent for a similar development in the far north of the North Island.

How we’re different

We’re using a hybrid between the private ownership model and co-housing to offer community facilities, cohesive design principles, and a shared equity model, together with professional maintenance and management to ensure financial sustainability.

Members Enjoy Freehold title on covenanted land

Each of the 80 dwellings will have a Covenanted Freehold Proportional Title, so they can be owned independently.

Bodycorp-style oversight with professional management

An elected advisory committee will assist in making decisions over shared assets.

Mix of owner-occupier, holiday homes and rentals

Combining an affordable lifestyle village with a holiday park, retaining revenue for the community in perpetuity.

Who Are We?

Associates Eric Chase and Sam Dyson have known each other for several years through their common interest in relocatable home manufacturing. Eric has been in real estate as a principal licensee/agent and a developer in both Australia and New Zealand over the last 45 years. Sam has been the business development manager of a prefabricated home building business for the last 6 years.

They share concerns around housing affordability, economic inequality and environmental disruption. Combining their knowledge and skills in these areas has led to a collaboration to develop Lifestyle Holiday Communities in sites across Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Plan

We’re proposing multiple relocatable homes, ranging in size from one (60m2), two (78m2), or three (107m2) bedrooms each, built over a series of five stages.

There will also be an RV park to continue hosting holidaymakers and visitors to the great Abel Tasman National Park.

We’re yet to lodge Resource Consent with infrastructure works commencing in 2028. There’s plenty of time to plan ahead by registering your interest now.

There is a $5,000 deposit required with each registration of interest with the balance of deposit to 20% of the purchase price being required on approval of Resource Consent. All deposits will be held in a Trust Account until settlement and returned if Resource Consent is not obtained.

We envisage this as an ideal opportunity for first-home buyers looking for a ‘foot on the property ladder’, active retirees looking to downsize without losing their capital, families wanting a permanent holiday destination (that can be managed as a rental while you’re not there), and investors seeking alternative, ethical real estate opportunities in a highly desirable location.

Set on a stunning near-16 hectare (40 acres) of land, there’s room to roam and create your ideal lifestyle in a healthy and sustainable intergenerational community.
